Treasurer, Merrimack Valley Amateur Radio Association, Inc.
I attended the University of New Hampshire and majored in Mathematics and Computer Science. After college I began my forty-two-year IT career starting at AIG Data Center. For twelve of my eighteen years there, I managed the Batch, Scheduling, and Source Library Management operations. I then joined Fidelity Investments where I managed Scheduling and Source Library Management groups for mission critical applications. In addition, I took on the management responsibilities for the Unix and NT backup and recovery operations. Other functions included disaster recovery planning & execution, crisis management, change management, incident management, and problem management. During my time at Fidelity, I earned my ITIL and PMP certifications. My titles spanned from Sr. Technical Specialist to Director. I retired after twenty-four years at Fidelity in 2016. In 2018, I obtained my amateur radio license as KC1KJZ and quickly upgraded to Extra class as N1KWG. After first being licensed, I joined the Amateur Radio Emergency Service and now serve as Assistant Emergency Coordinator for Greater Manchester. To enhance emergency communications within local communities, I worked with fellow ARES members and formed the Merrimack Valley Amateur Radio Association, Inc., a 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation. I also enjoy bicycling and kayaking.
